Mrs. Hasting was born in Liberty Center, Iowa and taught for several years in a one room country school.  In her later years, she stayed in various homes caring for the elderly.  She loved life, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Donna (Stan) Oxenreider of Brownton, WI, Deanna (Leo) Davey of Milo, Roger (Judy) Hasting of Fairbanks, AK, Jeanette (Terry) Garner of New Virginia, and Joan (Fred) Bown of Indianola; brother, Elbert (Katherine) Judkins of Orland, CA; 13 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Hasting in 1969, 3 sisters and 5 brothers.

Visitation will be held 2:00 – 6:00 p.m., Sunday, November 12 at Chapel of Faith Church, Hwy 65/69 North, Indianola, where family will be present to greet friends from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.  Memorials may be given to the Liberty Center United Methodist Church or the Kavanagh House on 56th Street in Des Moines.
