Services for Wilma M. Tilford, 98, who passed away Thursday, August 4, 2005 at the Good Samaritan Center in Indianola, will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 8 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with Rev. John Long officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.

Interment will be in the Leon Cemetery in Leon.

Wilma was born in Leon, Iowa.  She lived and farmed in the New Virginia area most of her life.  In 1962, Wilma worked for Simpson College as a cook for Delta Upsilon Fraternity retiring in 1972.

She is survived by her son, James D. Tilford of Indianola and her daughter, Margie Joan Butz of Des Moines; two sisters, Dorothy and Irene; nine step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, infant daughter, two brothers, and one sister.
