WILMA HALTERMAN Indianola Services for Wilma Halterman, 102, who passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at the Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines, will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 27 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with burial following in the Palmyra Cemetery, Palmyra, IA. Wilma is survived by her children, Maude(Martin) Bishop of Indianola and Lee (Shirley) Halterman of Bussey; brothers, William and Dean Lettington of Des Moines; nine grandchildren, Joan Ellen Stuchen, Paul Halterman, Steven Halterman, Tom Halterman, Marjorie Norris, Mark Bishop, Wray Halterman, Randy Halterman and Wilma "Rene" Valentine; five step grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, step great-grandchildren , great great-grandchildren, the youngest being Elliotte "Ellie" Gallahger and step great great-grandchildren. Proceeding her in death was her husband, Virgil Halterman; son, Gordon Halterman; parents, William and Ollie Lettington; three sisters, May Browning, Thelma Nyswonger and Ruth Ellen Jones; and three brothers, Russell, Chester and Clyde Lettington. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, August 26 at Overton Funeral Home with family present to greet friends. Memorials may be given to Taylor House Hospice.
