Wilma Irene Duffield, formerly residing in Carlisle, IA, passed peacefully away on her 88th birthday, Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at her current residence at The Village in Indianola, IA.

Wilma was a full-time homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to travel, decorate, golf, dabble with crafts, paint, entertain, and enjoy a good glass of wine.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Chris and Mathea (Christensen) Jensen; her husband and love of her life, Theodore (Ted) Duffield; her son, Chris; and her four brothers, Louie, Norman, Arnold and Merlin.

Wilma is survived by her daughter, Peggy (Denny) Baber of Carlisleher four sisters, Helen Prall, Alice Engelbrecht, Wanda Sorenson, and Linda Czarnecki; her grandchildren, Stacey (Bob) Adreon of Carlisle and Kevin Baber of West Des Moines; and her great-grandchildren, Morgan and Colton Adreon.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 28 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with burial following in the Scotch Ridge Cemetery, Rural Carlisle, Iowa. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Memorials may be given in Wilma's name to Hospice of the Midwest or Greater Iowa Chapter Alzheimer's Association.

We will greatly miss her smile, her sass and those pretty blue eyes.
