Willis Gordon Alexander, known as "Bud", died peacefully in the Westview of Indianola Care Center on February 10, 2021. A private graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2021.

Bud, was born July 8, 1925 in Mahaska County to Lester and Bertha Alexander. He grew up around Oskaloosa and went to high school there. On October 6, 1945 he married Donna Isabelle Sytsma. They moved to Warren County where they farmed and were happily married for nearly 67 years.

Bud was preceded in death by his wife, Donna; his parents; one son, Rodger; one sister, Loreen Robbins; and one infant grandson, Jay.

He is survived by one son, Steven, and his wife, Shirley, of Longmont, CO; 4 grandchildren: Shane Alexander, and his wife, Carla, of Jackson, TN; Matthew Alexander of Longmont, CO; Jesse Alexander, of Prole, IA; and Buffy Roberts, of Prole, IA. 6 great-grandchildren: Chase, Levi, Natasha, Wyatt, Taven and Aubrey.
