William "Bill" Henry Stout, 67, passed away from lung cancer Monday, November 12, 2007 at Taylor Hospice House in Des Moines. A visitation will be held Friday, November 16th at Overton Funeral Home, 501 W. Ashland, Indianola from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Celebration of Life Service will be held following visitation at 7:00 p.m.  Burial of cremains will be at a later date.

Bill was born February 19, 1940 in Ft. Des Moines to Robert Elias and Irma Irene Stout. Bill attended school in Des Moines and country schools in southern Iowa. He was a truck driver and concrete finisher, and enjoyed traveling and playing cards with friends.

Bill is survived by his wife Catherine; sons William Jr. and Steven Jack; daughters Valarie Tolczynski and Marilyn Stout; brother Robert E. Stout Jr.; sisters Charlotte Earney, Leona Smith, and Nancy Kibbe; and 16 grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by is parents, a brother, Leonard; and sisters Margaret Berry and Ellen Vaughn. Memorials can be made to the Prairie City Ambulance.
