WILLIAM "BILL" CARROLL MCPHERSON

Services will be held 12 p.m., Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, with burial following in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Indianola, IA. Visitation will be held two hours prior to service.

William Carroll McPherson was born November 11, 1941 on the family farm in rural Warren County, Iowa to John and Mary (Wood) McPherson. Growing up, he was known as "Billy" and had an older sister Marilyn and a younger sister Linda. He attended school in Spring Hill and was active in all sports. Billy went to Norwalk school his senior year where he graduated. Following graduation he was employed by Coco-Cola and then worked for UPS where he retired. He married and had two daughters, Fonda Jo and Ginger Lanette.

Bill passed away Friday, February 19, 2016 at the age of 74 years. He is survived by his daughters, Fonda (Bryan) Pollpeter and daughter Ireland Pollpeter, and Ginger (Jason) Mrzena and children Jaxson, Jay, Jadyn and Jake Mrzena; and sister, Linda (Bud) Henke; several nephews and nieces and other relatives and lots of great friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister and husband Marilyn and Bill Foust.
