A Celebration of Life for Wilbur F. Chumbley, 90, of Indianola, IA, will be held at Overton Funeral Home on Thursday, July 1, 2021. A visitation will begin at 4 p.m. and an informal sharing of stories in celebration of Wilbur's life will begin at 5 p.m.  The family requests those in attendance, if unvaccinated, please wear a mask.

Wilbur was born August 18, 1930, and passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 19, 2020, in Indianola, Iowa. Wilbur owned and operated Chumbley's Conoco in Indianola for 38 years. In 1995, Wilbur and Shirley retired to Table Rock Lake near Kimberling City, Missouri. Wilbur and Shirley returned to Indianola in 2012 and resided at The Village.

Wilbur is survived by his wife Shirley Chumbley, children Brenda (Howard) Ness, Sherry (James) Sines, Jeff (Barbara) Chumbley; grandchildren Joseph (Sarah) Ness, Jenna (Sam Kuster) Ness, Thomas (Dina) Sines, Benjamin (Sandra Davidson) Sines, Lauren Sines, Tara Chumbley; and great-grandchildren Joaquin Sines, Bianca Sines, Charlie Ness. He was preceded in death by parents Ethel and Noah, brothers Winton and Robert, and grandson Jason Ness.
