Funeral services for Wayne M. Orfield, 81, who died Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at the Regency Care Center in Norwalk, will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 7 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the Murray Cemetery, Murray, IA.

Wayne was born in Clarke County, Iowa and served in the United States Navy during WW II. He had lived in Indianola for the past 55 years where he owned and operated Orfield Plumbing, Heating and Septic Service for nearly 50 years. He enjoyed traveling, camping, boating, and spending time with his family. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge # 70 in Indianola.

He is survived by his wife, Lorna of Indianola; son, Dennis (Becky) Orfield of Des Moines; daughters, Sharon (Gordy Wells) Utsler of Indianola and Barbara (Michael) Johnson of Sac City; brother, Clarence Orfield of Murray; half sister, Karen Stevens of Des Moines; 6 grandchildren and their families, and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Roger; brothers, Paul and Kenneth; and sisters, Helen Lewis and Dorothy Wake.

Visitation will be held 2 – 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 6 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. to greet friends.

Memorials may be given to the family in his name.
