WAYNE ALLEN ERVIN

Funeral services for Wayne Allen Ervin, 62, who passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021 in Des Moines, IA, will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial will follow in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Wayne was born on April 17, 1959 in Des Moines to Ernest and Wilma Ervin and graduated from Indianola High School in 1977.  Following graduation, he served in the United States Marines and was honorably discharged.  He then attended United Electronics Institute and went to work for Utsler Electric in Indianola working on televisions.

Wayne had lived in Knoxville and most recently was living in Pleasant Hill.  He enjoyed canoeing and ice skating at Lake Ahquabi State Park, south of Indianola.  Wayne was very dedicated to his family.

He is survived by his sister, Autumn Ervin.  He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Wilma Ervin and two brothers Dennis and Rodney Ervin.

Visitation will be held prior to services from 1 to 2 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
