Warren Lyle Lisk, Jr., the son of Warren Lyle and Ione Marjorie (Pope) Lisk, was born on September 25, 1950 in Oskaloosa, Iowa.  He attended Tri-County Community Schools in Thornburg, Iowa.  Warren served in the United States Army during Vietnam and on May 17, 1972 he was honorably discharged.  Shortly following his discharge, he was married and adopted a son Michael Dean and had two children Mat who was born in 1973 and Mendy born in 1976.

Warren met Sandy Hunerdosse in 2003 and they were married in 2005.  Together they enjoyed camping and campfires.  He also liked riding his bike and lived for family time with his children and grandchildren.

Warren passed away Monday, December 11, 2023 at home.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandy; parents, Warren and Ione Lisk; son, Michael Lisk; and siblings, Nellie Davis and Wanita Atkins.  He is survived by his son, Mat (Angel) Lisk and children, Cheyne, Sawyer (Susan), Tucker and children, Layla, Nevaeh, Amora and Zaylie; daughter, Mendy (Joe Simpson) Jeffrey and children, Dakota (Sarah) and Kailee; Sandy's son, Jeff (Nicki Gaumnitz) Gibson and children, Clayton and Taylor; son, James (Kati) Thurman and their children Averi, Charli and Rossi; and siblings, Richard Lisk, Alice Chatfield and Debra (Dale) Bartholomew.
