Services for Wanda Irene Victor, 86, who passed away Saturday, December 19, 2015, will be held 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 23 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with burial following in the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines.
Wanda taught in the Des Moines public school system retiring in 1994 and was actively involved in the P.O.A. (Pony of America) Association for 50 years. She was a member of the Kappa Kappa Iota Sorority.
Survivors include her children, Howard Jr. (Rebecca), Becky Victor-Baker, Dan (Debbie) and Jill (Tony) Mauro; siblings, Russell Friend and Levon Boyd; grandchildren, Chris, Tracie, Travis, Anna, Dana, Katie, Darcy, Carrie, Matt and Brandon; and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard, daughter Letitia Young and son-in-law Steve Baker.
Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 22 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present from 5 to 8 p.m. to greet friends. Memorials may be given to the family in her name.
