Memorial services for Vivian Gladys Richmond, 80, who passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018, will be held 1 p.m, Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Scotch Ridge United Presbyterian Church, Rural Carlisle, Iowa with visitation held one hour prior to service.

Vivian was born and raised in Vinton, Iowa. She and her brother, Richard, enjoyed living in town while their mom, Eva Krause, tended home and their dad, Dale Krause, ran the butcher shop. She graduated from Iowa State University in 1959 with a degree in Home Economics. She went on to teach for a few years before becoming a full time homemaker for her own children. She enjoyed friends and family, and always looked forward to the next gathering. She attended church regularly, with Easter and Christmas being her favorite times. Her passions were cooking, sewing, gardening, bird watching, decorating, and collecting. She will be missed by all.

Vivian is survived by her children, Mark (Katy McKee) Richmond, David (Tina) Richmond, DeAnne (Jim) Akers; grandchildren, Jessica, Benjamin, Annika, Seth, Keely, Jim and Addison. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean and brother, Richard Krause.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Warren County Conservation Commission or the Scotch Ridge United Presbyterian Church.
