Services for Virginia A. Myers, 87, who died Sunday, March 20, 2011 in Des Moines, will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, March 24 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial will follow in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Virginia and her husband Howard owned the Creston Livestock Auction for several years. She is survived by her son, James (Christy) Myers of Indianola; daughter-in-law, Carol Buxton of Creston; grandchildren, Shane (Marie) Myers, Allison (Richard) Garner, Ryan (Megan) Myers, Nicole (Zach) Smith, Jared Myers, Jodie Myers and Jamie Myers; three great-grandchildren, Shane Myers Jr., Gretchen Myers and Maggie Myers; and one great great-grandchild, Aaliza Myers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Myers; sons, Richard and Stephen Myers; and sister, LaVaun Griffith. Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 23 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. to greet friends. Memorials may be given to the family in her name.
