Verna is survived by her daughters, Joy (Marvin T.) Brown of Hopemills, NC, Gloria (Garold) Pottorff of Indianola, Peggy (Gary) Carpenter of Winterset; 9 grandchildren, Susannah Roman, Galen and Greg Pottorff, Gaylene Jones, Jennifer Jamison, Robert Gideon, Sarah, Carrie and Rachel Carpenter; 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
