Funeral services for Trevor Allen Hedrick, 20, formerly of Carlisle, who passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024, will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, February 1, 2024, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with burial following in the Ackworth Cemetery, Ackworth, IA. Visitation will be held prior to service from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Trevor Hedrick was born on October 13th, 2003 to Steven and Sabrina Hedrick in Des Moines, IA. They eventually settled down in Carlisle when Trevor was in third grade where he later graduated from Carlisle High School in 2022. He enjoyed being outdoors golfing, swimming and enjoyed gaming with his friends. He was a very intelligent young man and did almost every sport throughout his school years. His two favorites' were wrestling and football. After graduation he was off to college at South Plains in Levelland, Texas where he initially majored in business. He later changed his major to nursing. While taking classes he also worked at Peoples Bank in Lubbock, Texas, he enjoyed working at the bank and loved his new coworkers. Trevor had a heart of gold and was always willing to help anyone. He gave the best bear hugs and could light up an entire room with his witty sense of humor. He was a gentle giant and loved everyone and everyone loved him. He did not want to be edited and only asks that he be remembered by his great sense of humor. He showed how big his heart was by telling his brother and sister that he will always be looking over them and asked others to as well. He has left us all to soon and will be missed by many. He is survived by his parents, Sabrina Hedrick and Steven Hedrick; siblings, Tristan, Kaylee; grandparents, Michael and Sharon Jones, Robert and Susan Hedrick; aunts, Katherine (John) Prine, Amanda Hedrick; uncle, Jacob (Logann) Jones; great-grandmother, Carolyn Buchert; cousins, Eloise, Parker, Paige, Zaydian, Samara, Kaden, Andrew. He is preceded in death by his aunt, Samantha Sanders; great-grandfathers, Chuck Jones, Lloyd Hedrick Sr., William (Buck) Buchert; great-uncle, Lloyd (Butch) Hedrick Jr, Larry Vavroch. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Carlisle Wildcat Athletic Booster Club or to the family to help with final expenses.
