Services for Tiffany Anne Phippen, 49, who passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023 will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, with burial following in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Tiffany graduated from Indianola High School in 1992.  She studied Fashion Merchandising at DMACC in Ankeny followed by work at various fashion boutiques and department stores at Southridge Mall.  She later worked for many years at the local Indianola Walmart.

Tiffany also loved being a fan of many things including the Iowa Barnstormers, Olympic figure skating and boy bands.

She also had the opportunity to travel many places with family including Hawaii, Memphis, Las Vegas, the Riviera Maya, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, Shreveport, Boston and San Antonio.

Tiffany was married to Rick Phippen on November 10, 2007 at the Des Moines Botanical Center in a beautiful evening ceremony.

She enjoyed living on the acreage, being a full-time housewife and part-time bargain hunter.  She visited the Goodwill every day and tracked all the garage sales in town looking for the best deal on designer purses and shoes.

She had pet cats from a very young age, later adding a love of dogs as well.  Most recently, she cared for her kitty Zoey and Pomeranian Teddy. Teddy showed his gratitude by being snuggled up with Tiffany when she passed.

Tiffany is survived by her husband Rick; mother, Connie Bence; sister, Tama-Lea (Mark) Lorenzen; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Lyle Bence; grandparents, Bernard and Helen Bence and Wilbur and Evelyn Town.

Visitation will be held 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at Overton Funeral Home.  Memorials may be made, in memory of Tiffany, to the Indianola Kiya Koda Humane Society.
