Services for Thomasine Ann Rennenger, 79, of Indianola, Iowa, who passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at home, will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola.  Visitation will be held, prior to services, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., at the funeral home.  Inurnment of cremains will be held, at a later date, in the Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel.

Thomasine was born on July 28, 1944 in Indianola the daughter of Hartley and Marie (Shriever) Gatrel.  She graduated from Indianola High School in 1960.  Following graduation, she was united in marriage to Gabe Bowlin and had four children.  She was married to John Rennenger and together they had one daughter.

Thomasine worked at Hart Super Value then Simpson College for several years.  She also worked at the meat packing plant in Sioux City before going back to Simpson College.  Her last job was working for "CDS" Communication Data Services in Des Moines.  Thomasine enjoyed flowers and working in her yard, reading romance novels, sewing, and spending time with her family.  She and John also enjoyed traveling and taking care of her cats.

She is survived by her husband, John Rennenger; children, Gabriel (Sohn) Adams, Thomas (Shellie) Bowlin, Ronald (Sharon) Bowlin, Michael (Kimberly) Bowlin and Danielle Rennenger; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and brother, Danny Gatrel.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Hartley and Marie Gatrel; siblings, Lester Gatrel and Katie Mortz.
