THOMAS EDWARD BRADSHAW Indianola Thomas Edward Bradshaw was born November 13, 1962 to Glen Edward and Sylvia Mae (Roberts) Bradshaw in Estherville, Iowa. Tom was the third of five children; older sisters Cindy Lee, Rebecca Ann and Brenda Mae and younger brother Earl Gene Bradshaw. Tom's sisters introduced him to music at a young age that developed into a lifelong love of music from 1960 to current pop and country. Tom was a truck driver by trade and considered it both hobby and career. He enjoyed driving over the road and listening to music. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and collecting guns and knives. Tom's first love was his family. He met Jodi Lynn Owens on June 3, 1979 at Murphy's Guest Home in Indianola at a very young age. At that time, Jodi was 14 and Tom was 16. They spent the next 33 years growing from fun-loving teenagers to adults doing their best to raise a family. On July 3, 1987, Tom and Jodi were married in a small hilltop church just up the street from the home they purchased where they raised their children. On March 21, 1985, their first son, Nicholas David, was born. Daughter, Valerie Jean, was born April 12, 1989 and youngest son, Thomas "Tommy" Tyler Bradshaw, was born February 12, 1991. As a father of 3 young children, Tom was a hands-on dad when he came home from the road. Tom was always a kid at heart. He enjoyed going to the parks, swimming at the pool, walking around the lake and sledding down the steepest hill in town as much as the kids. On July 13, 2007, Valerie brought Delaney Jo into the world and made the family complete. Delaney Jo shared a very special bond with her Papa that was beautiful to see. She was his Princess and he would do anything to see her smile. Tom and Jodi loved each other deeply and shared a bond that could not be broken. The couple never gave up on one another or their love. The Bradshaw family enjoyed a quiet life just being at home, watching TV, renting movies and ordering pizza. Tom died suddenly in a car accident on March 13, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Cindy Alexander and half-brother Michael Bradshaw. He leaves behind wife, Jodi; children, Nicholas, Valerie, Tommy and Delaney Jo. Survivors also include his brother, Earl (Gerrie) Bradshaw, sisters, Rebecca (Frank) Tena, and Brenda Marek; and many nieces and nephews.
