Services for Thelma "Maxine" Wood, 84, who died Sunday, November 15, 2009 at the Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 18 at the Norwalk United Methodist Church with burial following at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Orilla.

She was born in Warren County, Iowa, living her life in the Norwalk area. Maxine was a homemaker and member of the Norwalk United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son, Jim (Connie) Wood of Norwalk; daughters, Wanda (Keith) Davenport of Blue Springs, MO; and Peggy (Gary) Myer of Norwalk 9 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 2 step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Wood.

Visitation will be held 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, November 17 at the Norwalk United Methodist Church where family will be present to greet friends. Memorials may be given to the church or Taylor House Hospice.
