Services for Thelma I. Chapman, 70, who died Monday, November 8, 2010 at home, will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, November 11 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with burial following in the Goshen Cemetery, rural Lucas Co., IA. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, George; daughters, Pauletta (Scott) Mealey, Melody (Gary) Metz; sons, Christopher (Tina), James and John (Angie) Chapman; 24 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and her beloved pet, Scanner. She was preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy Summers and Pearl Ivy Monohon and brother, Donald Summers. Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 10 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. to greet friends.
