Services for Terry C. Loy, 52, who died Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, will be held 2 p.m., Monday, April 5 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Cremation will follow service.

Terry was born in Osceola, Iowa and worked as a Construction Surveyor for the City of Des Moines. He was President of Municipal Employees Association Union and enjoyed white water rafting, playing cards and horseshoes, doing yard work, and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda; son, Kyle; daughter, Taylor; mother, Dixie Loy of Murray; brothers, Larry (Rhonda), Jerry (Cheryl), Gary (Doris) and Barry Loy all of Murray; father-in-law, Robert Grandfield of St. Charles; sisters-in-law, Anita (Darrell) Brown of St. Charles and Jan (Ron) Brown of West Des Moines; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by father, Paul Loy and mother-in-law, Beverly Grandfield.

Visitation will be held 3 to 8 p.m., Sunday, April 4 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present to greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Northern Warren Fire Department. Online condolences may be sent at www.overtonfunerals.com.
