Terry DeBlieck, 44, of Indianola, passed away Friday, June 20, 2025 at UnityPoint Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 to 5 p.m., Wednesday, July 2 at the American Legion Post #165, 105 West 1st Ave, Indianola, IA 50125. Private Inurnment with Military Honors will be held in the Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, IA.

Terry was born August 20, 1980 in Palm Springs, California. He grew up in Joshua Tree, California where he lived until enlisting in the United States Army on August 12, 1998. During his time in the Army, he was awarded the Humanitarian Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon and Expert Marksmanship Qualification Badge with Rifle Bar. After his honorable discharge he relocated to Indianola, Iowa to be closer to his family.

Terry is survived by his mother, Catherine DeBlieck; siblings, Jesse (Traci) McAninch, Brett DeBlieck, Scott DeBlieck, Grace Poland, Benjamin Poland; and many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. He is preceded in death by, father, August DeBlieck; grandparents, August and Carol DeBlieck, Barbara Thrasher; uncles, David DeBlieck, Gerald Thrasher; beloved baby brother, Zeus.
