Susannah Baker Dryer Thompson of Waukee passed away early Saturday, April 23, 2016 from injuries sustained in an auto accident at the age of 44. Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with family present from 5 to 8 p.m. to greet friends.

Susie was born May 3, 1971 to Harry and Bette (Lee) Dryer.  She graduated from Indianola High School in 1989.  Susie was baptized in 1993 at the Saints John and Paul Church in Altoona.  In 1994, she married Marc Thompson and to this union was born one daughter, Madeline Margaret.  They later divorced.  Susie attended DMACC and Kaplan University and was working for Unity Point Health at the time of her death.

Left to cherish her memory, daughter, Madeline (Maddy) Thompson of Des Moines; parents, Harry and Bette Dryer of Des Moines; siblings, Margaret (Mark) Steffens of Ringwood, NJ,  Scott (Brenda) Dryer of Jewell, IA, Matt (Brenda) Dryer of Des Moines; nephews and nieces, Michael, Katie, Matthew, Ella, Betsy, Molly, and Sarah. Mourning her passing with her family are hundreds of friends and classmates.  She is preceded in death by both paternal and maternal grandparents.
