A Memorial Gathering for Steven Dale Wilson, 56, of Indianola, Iowa, will be held 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, October 31, at Z's Eatery and Draught Haus, 1501 N 1 ^st Street, Indianola.

Steven was born and lived in Des Moines until 2004. He then moved to Indianola, where he made his home, before he passed peacefully on Friday, October 21, 2022.

Steven had the most loving heart, he loved everybody; friends, co-workers, family and yes, even his boss, Wes Aeitz. Ha. Ha. When you were special and meant something to Steven, he loved you for life. He had the biggest heart and he loved DEEP. He was filled with compassion for others and it didn't matter if he knew you or not! He was a forgiving soul and loved without limits. He would spend his last $20 to his name on anybody that needed it. That included buying his nieces and nephews candy, lol. He went out of his way to let you know just how special you were and how much you meant to him.

He was a joker and he loved to laugh. In fact, in our family, we call these said jokes "Bob-ism's" after their father, who thought they were funny, even when no one else did, lol.

Steven worked as a cook for the past 18 years at Z's Eatery and Draught Haus, formerly known as Cal's Fine Food. He loved his co-workers and spoke extremely kind words of them all. Steven was a hard worker. He spent half of his day working and the other half cozy at home playing his slot machine game.

Steven is survived by his siblings, Gordon (Niki) Milligan, Becky (Lloyd) Polson, Roy (Libby) Milligan, David Milligan, Danny Milligan, Scott (Cindy) Wilson, Shelley Wilson, Robert Wilson Jr., Ronny (Brenda) Wilson, and Brenda (Ron) Bristow; many aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mom, Shirley Kennard/Wilson; dad, Robert Wilson Sr; brother, Johnny Milligan; sister-in-law, Jackie Milligan; grandma, Grace Dawson; brother-in-law, Billy Knapp; and beloved pets, Gracie Mae and Bowzie.
