STEVE R. SEPTER Indianola Steve Septer, was born February 11, 1954 in Des Moines, Iowa to Ray and Jenny (Covey) Septer and passed away Friday, November 6, 2015 in Indianola. He was 61. After High School, Steve served in the Air Force and then in the Iowa Air National Guard from 1972 to 1979. Following his time in the services, Steve was employed as an insurance adjuster and enjoyed doing auto body work. He most enjoyed spending his time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Michele; children, Chad Septer, Tom (Mandy) Septer and Angie (Mike) Grimes; eight grandchildren, Tucker, Valerie, Natalie, Lexi, Donovan, Emily, Jackson and Zoe; mother, Jenny Septer; brother, Gary (Becky) Septer and sister-in-law, Janice Block. He was preceded in death by his father Ray Septer and brother Bob Septer. Services will be held 1:30 p.m. Monday, November 9 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with burial following in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, November 8 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be given in his name to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
