Memorial services for Stella Stangvilla, 73, who died Saturday, October 18, 2008, will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 22 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola.

Stella was born September 10, 1935 in Chesham, Buckinghamshire, England, the daughter of Daniel and Charlotte Ashwell.  She had been a resident of the United States since November 2004.

Survivors include her children, Vanessa Fox of rural Indianola, Dee (Rusty) Nokes of Lacona, Melvyn (Lynn) Ashwell of Somerset, England; brother, Jim Ashwell of Buckinghamshire, England; grandchildren, Paul, Sarah, Sophie Ashwell and Dillon and Cameron Nokes; and 4 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by an infant son, Mark Joseph Stangvilla; sister, Barbara Ashwell.

Visitation will be held 4 – 8 p.m., Tuesday, October 21 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present to greet friends from 6 – 8 p.m.  On Line condolences may be sent at www.overtonfunerals.com.
