Stella M. Hunziker, 87, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2017 at Karen Acres Health Care Center.  She was born January 8, 1928 in Spurgeon, NC to Exie and Vera May (Souther) Harding.  She married Eldon Hunziker in 1956 in San Jose, CA.  The couple moved to Rockwell City in 1958 where Stella resided until 1991.  Stella spent some of her favorite times walking on the trails in Johnston watching all types of wildlife.

She is survived by a nephew Ron Haring of Concord, NC and was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Ray, Allen, James and Charles, and her husband, Eldon.  A private service will be held at a future date at Rosehill Cemetery in Rockwell City, Iowa.  Online condolences may be made at www.overtonfunerals.com.
