He is survived by his sons, Stanley (Val) Wright of Corwith, IA, Bernie and Mike Wright of Des Moines daughters, Betty (Mark) Tindall, Sherry Lynn Wilson both of Corwith, IA, and Pam Wright of Des Moines; his wife, Helen Cook of Des Moines; father, Cephus A. Wright of Summerset, IA; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; brothers Walter (Alice), Greg (Susan), Jeff (Charlene) and Kevin Wright; sisters, Sandra (Keith) Bowman, Julie (Dan) Payne, Sarah (Ben) Hamilton, Suzanne (Donnie) Bensley; 47 nieces and nephews, a multitude of great and great great nieces and nephews and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother Kathryn (Taylor) Wright; brother Vernon Wright; and two sisters Naomia Overlin and Mahala Judkins.

Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, September 27 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola.
