Services for Stanley Ray Perry, 73, of Indianola, formerly of Osceola,who passed away early Friday morning October 19, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, IA, will be held 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 22, 2018 at the First Assembly of God Church in Indianola with burial following in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Stan was the son of Raymond R. Perry and Lela D. (Violett) Perry; husband of Joyce E. (Thomas) Perry; father of Cyndie Green (husband Stephen) of Springfield, MO, Kelly Harney (husband Tom) of Granger, Pamela Sorensen (husband Brian) of Osceola.

Stan and Joyce lived on a farm east of Osceola from 1971-2000. They then moved to Indianola. Stan retired from Armstrong Tire & Rubber in Des Moines after 33 years of service. He also farmed and owned S&J Auto Body Repair while living in Clarke County. He enjoyed working on cars, farming, spending time with his family, giving his sons-in-law a hard time and traveling when they could. He was also an active member of the Foursquare Church in Des Moines, and the Assembly of God churches in Osceola and Indianola.

He demonstrated a sense of loyalty, an amazing work ethic, and extreme unconditional love to his entire family. No member of his family ever doubted his love. Everyone that knew him, loved him.

Stan is preceded in death by his parents; his grandson, Theodore A. Green; brother-in-law, Thomas Grisham; and his grandparents, John and Daisy Violett.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Stephanie and Amanda Green, of Springfield, MO, Nathanial (wife Cami) Page of Osceola, David (wife Rebecca) Page of Humeston, Jennifer Miles of Urbandale, Marcus (wife Tiffani) Holmes of Bondurant, Aaron (wife Nina) Holmes of Grimes, Kyle (fiance Shelley) Holmes of Des Moines; 17 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Sandra Grisham of Akron, OH.

Visitation will be held 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday, October 21 at the First Assembly of God Church in Indianola where family will be present to greet friends. Memorials may be given to the family in Stan's name.
