Stacey Jan Demory, 59, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on November 24, 2025.

Stacey was the daughter of Rick and Lauren Demory and was born in Des Moines on March 14, 1966.  Stacey grew up in Indianola and graduated from Indianola High School.

As an adult, she resided most of her life in Waukee and worked as a 911 dispatcher at the Des Moines Police Department for 28 years. In her spare time, Stacey loved doing arts and crafts for her family, traveling with her husband Mike, and spending time with her beloved dogs, Shammey and Chester. She took immense joy out of spending time with her kids, whether that was going to a movie, for a walk, or on a family vacation. Stacey has touched the lives of many people during her time here and will be deeply missed.

Stacey was preceded in death by her parents Rick and Lauren Demory. She is survived by her brother, Rick Demory; husband, Mike Watts, children Tanner, Tori, and Seth, and grandchildren Thomas and Teagan Watts.

A Celebration of Stacey's life will be held at a later date.  Memorials may be made in Stacey's name to Animal Lifeline, Furry Friends, or ARL.
