SHIRLEY LILES Norwalk Services for Shirley Liles, 75, who died Wednesday, February15, 2012 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston after a year long battle with cancer, will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 18, at the Norwalk Christian Church in Norwalk. Cremation will follow services and burial of cremains will be at a later date. She is survived by her daughter, Sheila (Maynard) Zipf of Decatur, GA; sister, Ferne Ross; sisters-in-law, Velma (Gerry) Owens, Lorainne Reasoner, Iola Wernli and Anne Liles; brother-in-law, Ronald (Sue) Liles; close nieces, Diana Dooley and DeeAnn Nelson; several other nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Dolly. She was preceded in death by her husband, George; parents, Tom and Gladys Owens; brothers, Eugene and Thomas Owens; niece, Coleen Danielson; brothers-in-law, Bob Liles and Carl Ross; sisters-in-law, June Rinehart, Myrtelle Liles and Donna Pickens. The family would like to thank her church family and community who rallied to her support in the last year of life during her treatment. A special thanks to Shirley Richardson and Shirley Herrick who were her daily support and comfort. Visitation will be held 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, February 17 at the Norwalk Christian Church. Memorial contributions may be given to the Norwalk Christian Church or Mercy Hospice in Johnston.
