SHIRLEY IHNEN Indianola Services for Shirley Ihnen, 80, who passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2014 will be held 10 a.m., Friday, October 24 at the Indianola First Baptist Church with burial following in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Oakley, IA. Shirley retired from the Indianola School system after 20 years of service. She and her husband Bill were happily married for 61 years. She enjoyed cooking and playing bridge and creating all occasion cards for her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Bill; children, Kim (Steven) Keenan of Marshalltown and Scott (Tina) Ihnen of Mechanicsville, VA; two grandchildren, Michael Ihnen and Christina Whalen; and one great-grandchild, Jackson Whalen. Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, October 23 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola where family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. to greet friends.
