Sheila Nicholls, 62, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014 after a courageous fight with esophageal cancer. Family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Wednesday, October 29, at the Indianola Community Church in Indianola, IA. Funeral service will begin at 12 p.m. Burial will be at Palmyra Cemetery following the funeral. She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Dave Nicholls of Carlisle, IA; her children, Terry (Amanda) Thompson of Chariton, IA, LeeAnne (Jeff) Vorhies of Fairfield, IA, Jeri (Jasen) Cox of Pleasant Hill, IA; her step-children, Michelle (Scott) Wheeler of Carlisle, Dave Nicholls of Des Moines, and Loren (Necole) Nicholls of Ames, IA; and her brothers, Richard (Ruth) Hopson of La Mesa, CA, Dan Hopson (Tracy Venters) of Plano, TX, Tim (Diane) Hopson of Grimes, IA, and Mike (Angela) Hopson of West Des Moines, IA; 26 grandchildren; one great-grandchild and several nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her daughter Nicole Flemmens and mother and step-father Alberta and Dwight Oliver.
