Graveside services for Shawn Michael Ripperger, 54, of New Virginia, who passed away on Monday, August 10, 2020 at home, will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 15, 2020 in the New Virginia Cemetery, New Virginia, IA. A recording of the service will be uploaded to the website shortly following services.

Shawn was born April 25, 1966 to Charles and Marilyn Ripperger. Later after Graduating from SEW (Southeast Warren) he began working with Warren County in the maintenance department. Shawn was an avid Hawkeye football fan, loved deer hunting, living in the country, riding his four-wheeler and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon; daughter, Julie Timm; granddaughter, Lauren Timm; brother, Charlie Ripperger; nieces and nephews, Jencey Ripperger, Kelsey Spencer, Skylar Ripperger and Kamron Spencer. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Marilyn Ripperger.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m., Friday, August 14 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present to greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m., using CDC Guidelines. Memorials may be given to the family in his name for a contribution to be decided at a later date.
