Graveside services for Sharon Elaine Myers, 88, of Indianola, Iowa, who passed away Monday, November 13, 2023, will be held 2 p.m., Monday, November 20, 2023 in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Friends and family will gather at Overton Funeral Home from 1 to 1:45 p.m., Monday, prior to services.

Sharon was born on January 28, 1935, the daughter of William Edgar and Mildred (Gustafson) Myers.  She graduated from Indianola High School in 1953.  Following graduation, she attended Nursing School in Des Moines and then graduated from the University of Iowa, receiving her bachelor's degree in Social Work She continued her education and received her Master's Degree.  Sharon worked in several different places in the Midwest, Texas, California, Hawaii, on the east coast before returning to West Des Moines and then to Indianola.

Sharon served in the United States Air Force and enjoyed golf, puzzles and the outdoors.

She is survived by her sister, Phyllis Hall; nieces and nephews, Pam and Jerry Schippers, Lisa Hall and family, Candice DePerio and family and Kevin Hall and family.  She was preceded in death by her parents, nephew Terry Hall, and brother-in-law Scotty Jo Hall.

Memorials, in her memory, may be given to the Annett Nature Center or St Croix Hospice.
