Funeral services for Sharon Houston, 80, of Indianola, Iowa, who passed away Monday, September 11, 2023, will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at the Indianola Regular Baptist Church. Graveside services will be held 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 20, in the Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Russell; sons, Perry (Michelle) Houston, Mike Houston, David (Regina) Houston; grandchildren, Kaylee (Curtis) Houston, Sam Houston, Travis Driesen, Bryant (Rose) Houston, Aaron (Taylor) Houston, Tanner (Hannah) Houston, Nina (Tony) Nell, Jake (Aissa) Jones, Brice (Lindsey) Houston, Brook (Dan) Rice; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings, Diane (Kenny) Clark, Fonda (Norm) Hall, Cheryl Crownover, Frank Goering, Bob (Cecil) Goering, Gene (Donna) Goering; sister-in-law, Pam Goering; and many nieces, nephews and other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ferdinand and Goldie Goering; brothers, Merrill Goering, Gerald Goering; sister-in-law, Linda Goering; brother-in-law, Lonnie Crownover.

Visitation will be held 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, September 18 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, where family will be present to greet friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Sharon to the Indianola Regular Baptist Church.
