IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Scott James
Vodraska
January 22, 1975 – November 5, 2023
Scott Vodraska, a son, father and brother, resident of Norwalk, IA, passed November 5, 2023 at the age of 48 years.
Scott was born in Des Moines, IA on January 22, 1975 to Jim and Rita Vodraska. He graduated from Martensdale-St. Marys Community School District in 1993 and after, attended Central College in Pella, to study and play one of the loves of his life – baseball. After college, he entered the Ironworkers Local #67 and this is where his lifelong career began in structural and glass work. Scott took huge pride in his work and it showed as he won many awards; specifically, the Reiman Gardens in Ames as well as the Downtown Des Moines Library. Since October of 2021, he worked for John Deere in Ankeny as a full-time welder.
However, his biggest award and achievements in life were his children. Scott worked so very hard to be sure they had the best of everything. His kind heart, quick wit, unforgettable laugh and beautiful smile will live on through them.
Scott is survived by his children, Cameron, Saylor, Sienna, and Chance; parents, Jim and Rita Vodraska; siblings, Dawn (Bill) Reeves, Angie Vodraska and Tom (Lori) Vodraska along with many nieces and nephews, friends and his dog, Sergeant.
