Scott was a 1980 graduate of Indianola High School and operated DF Trucking and Demolition. He enjoyed working, helping others, farming, Figure 8 races, and pickup pulls.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy and four stepchildren; his parents, Mae Dillard and Wayne Dillard both of Indianola; sisters, Sue Bissell of Creston and Linda (Dan) Dittmer of Lacona; brother, Brad Dillard of New York; and four nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and close friend, Junior Johnson.

Visitation will be held 1:00 – 5:00 p.m., Sunday, October 15 at the funeral home where family will be present to greet friends from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Memorials may be given to the Warren County Fair.
