Ryan Leo Morris was born on April 3, 1977, to Gary & Audrey Morris. He attended Indianola High School and graduated in the spring of 1996. Later in life Ryan pursued his passion for technology at ITT Tech. He graduated there in 2015 with an associate's degree.
As a child, Ryan loved running around the family farm with his cousins. They would climb and play on all the hay bales. Ryan, Dad, and siblings also enjoyed running races growing up. At the age of eight, Ryan trained to compete in a Bix7 race in Davenport, IA. As a family, they successfully ran the 7-mile race with Mom cheering on the sideline.
Ryan was an easy-going man that had a great sense of humor. He was always cracking jokes and making others laugh. Ryan loved cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs and Iowa Hawkeyes during football season. He was a big fan and was always wearing his team gear.
He loved his family deeply and enjoyed spending lots of time with his kids. Together they cherished time outdoors fishing, hiking, and camping. One of their favorite spots to go as a family was Lake Red Rock.
Ryan is survived by his children, Alissia, Madison, and Andrew Morris; special friend and former wife, Amanda Goodrich; parents, Gary and Audrey Morris; siblings, Kim (David) Dew, Heather (Rob) Gartin; nieces and nephews, Nathan, Kaitlyn, Hannah, Cassidy Dew, and Noah, Bella Gartin; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by grandparents, Harold and Mildred Morris, Lawrence and Helen Stewart.
Memorials may be directed to Unity Point Hospice in his name.
