RUTH WOOLSON LANING Indianola A Celebration of Life service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, April 3 at the First United Methodist Church in Indianola for Ruth Woolson Laning, 79, who died Wednesday, March 23 at home. Ruth was born November 8, 1931 in Clarinda, Iowa to George D and Lucile Ransom Woolson and married on September 4, 1954 to Everett Laning of Chicago, Illinois. She is survived by her husband Everett; children, Yvonne (Gary) Oyler, Brent (Lynn) Laning, and Jolene (Ken) Huen; brother, John (Anna) Woolson; grandchildren, Lora (Matt) Muilenburg, Kristen Hansen, Kathryn and Kara Huen, and Samantha and Nicholas Read; and great-grandchildren, Kate and John Muilenburg. Visitation, with family present, will be held 1 hour prior to services in the church Hospitality Room. Memorial gifts made to Bidwell-Riverside Center are welcome in lieu of flowers.
