Funeral Services for Ruth Anderson, 91, who passed away Sunday, November 24, 2024, will be held 10:30 a.m., Monday, December 2, 2024 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, IA with burial following in the IOOF Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m., prior to service at Funeral Home in Indianola.

Ruth lived in Ackworth most of her life. She worked as a CNA in Des Moines and in Indianola. When retired Ruth took care of her parents and their farm. Ruth enjoyed working hard out doors, she liked gardening and mowing but most of all, raking the leaves in the fall with her little dog laying in the yard watching.

Ruth is survived by her children, Darla (Steve) Huber, Cheryl (Lans) Green, Sonja (Kelly) Parnell, Kevin (Diane) Anderson; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Linda Delay, Crane, MS. She is preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Thelma Baxendale; sister, Doris Mumford; granddaughter, Shannon Anderson.

Memorials may be made in Ruth's memory to the Kiya Koda Humane Society or EveryStep Kavanagh House in Des Moines.
