Rosemary Lynn Mealey, 78, of Indianola, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2026 at MercyOne West Medical Center in West Des Moines, Iowa.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.

Rosemary was born on November 22, 1947 at the Indianola Hospital to Lyle and Flora (Alexander) McDole.  She graduated from San Jose High School in 1966.  On February 6, 1972 she was united in marriage to Alan Mealey.  The family had lived in Arizona for a short time and lived small towns in Iowa before moving to Indianola in 1982.

Rosemary had worked for the State of Iowa Department of Human Services for more than 25 years.  She enjoyed her family, cooking, traveling, scrapbooking, Hallmark movies and enjoyed a good laugh.

She was preceded in death by her parents.  Rosemary is survived by her husband Alan Mealey; children, Shae (Michael) Still, Tricia Goode, Brent (Regina) Mealey and Brian Mealey; grandchildren, Ândrea (Tylar) Feder, Hunter (Sarah) Davis, Hailey Davis, Gabrielle (Dylan) Glorioso, Payton Mealey, Brent Mealey II, Alexander Foster, Ava Mealey, Adeline Mealey, Rhythm Puck and Zayden Puck; great-grandchildren, Lynnelee Goode, Lillian Feder, Hazel Davis, Eloise Davis and Torrey Glorioso and another great-grandson on the way; siblings, Lee (Diana) McDole, Vicki Pottinger, James McDole, Sheila (Odus) Ross.
