Services for Ronald McDole, 79, who passed from this life Friday, January 22, 2021 at Westview Care Center in Indianola, IA, will be held Tuesday, January 26.  You may join the family on our Livestream beginning at 11 a.m. on Ron's obituary page of Overton Funeral Home's website. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Indianola, IA.

Ron was born at his grandparent's house in Indianola on August 3, 1941. His parents were Nile (Doby) and Georgena (Pete) McDole. Ron graduated from Indianola High School in 1959.

In September of 1963, Ron was married to Pat Jacobs. They were blessed with a son, Tim in 1967 and a daughter, Jennifer in 1970.

In 1995, Ron retired from Firestone Tire after 32 years of service. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Indianola.

Ron liked the outdoors and enjoyed nature. As a young man he loved to hunt and fish. He liked polka music and played the accordion for many years.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be deeply missed and remembered forever.

Ron is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Brian) Estes; two granddaughters, Morgan and Hannah Estes; his sister, Debbie (Earl) Johnson; nephew, Nathan Reeves; and niece, China Johnson. He was met at Heaven's gates by his wife Pat, who passed in 2015; and son Tim, who took the same journey in 2006. He was also reunited with his parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A Public visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Masks are required. Memorial contributions can be made, in Ron's name, to Warren County Conservation Board.
