RONALD CROSS Indianola Ronald "Ron" Dean Cross 51, of Indianola, Iowa passed away Friday, August 21 2015 at VA hospital in Des Moines,Iowa after a long battle with cancer. Services will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 25, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with burial following in the Liberty Center Cemetery, Liberty Center, IA. Ron was born January 12, 1964 in Des Moines, Iowa, to Richard Eugene and Dee Ann Cross. Ron was an Army Veteran and worked several jobs over his adult life including construction, factory work and most recently owned his own painting and repair business. He is survived by his mother; Dee Cross; fiancé, Bernie Madsen; Ron's twin brother, Don (Jenny) Cross; sisters, Lisa (Lee) Fish, Tammy Cross (fiance' Will Oswalt); and brother Chuck Cross all of Indianola. Nieces, Rebecca (Dusty} Johnson, Kara Palczewski, Megan Cross and Tanya Cross; nephews, Gary Phillips, Ryan Cross, Mitch and Chase Cross, Matthew and Leland Heckman; six great nieces and nephews and several aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Richard Cross; grandparents, Max and Vera Cross, Cleo and Phyllis Duncan and great nephew, Hunter Hougland. Ron was very special and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, August 24 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to the family in lieu of flowers.
