Ronald Dean Baird passed away Monday, January 31, 2022 in Des Moines, IA. Services will be held 7 p.m., March 11, 2022 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, where family will gather prior from 4 to 7 p.m., to greet friends.

Ron was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes fan and loved to make friends with everyone he came in contact with. Golfing and fishing were his favorite hobbies. He loved using his hands being self-employed and doing landscaping. He loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was proud of everything they accomplished.

He is survived by his children, Loria Baird, Jared (Dawn) Baird, Donnasue Baird; grandchildren, Austin, Natalie and Isaac Baird, Chianne, Dalton and Dusty See, Arianna and Elysia Drumbarger; siblings, Lloyd Baird Jr., Mary Ann Kennedy, Marsha McClean, Jackie Baird, Charles Baird, Linda McGaugh, Julius Baird, Michael Baird, Debra Tilley; special friend, Ruth Laverman; and many nieces, nephews and other family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Mary Ann Baird; siblings, Terry Rasmussen, Lester Baird, Loretta Lane.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Blank Children's Hospital in his name.
