A Celebration of Life Service for Rollie Rigg, 82, who passed away Monday, August 23, 2021 at home, will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola.  The family will greet friends from 11:30 to 1 p.m. Saturday prior to services.

Rollie was born on August 15, 1939 to Rolla and Garnett Rigg. He worked in the car business for over 40 years. He was an enthusiastic fisherman and loved fishing trips and stories. He enjoyed working in his shop and could fix almost anything. Rollie always went to swim meets, dance recitals and sports activities for his children and grandchildren. One of his greatest joys was hearing their laughter. Rollie will be missed by his family, friends and Priscilla the Bassett Hound.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Sharon; children, Colleen Winters, Clint (Dori) Rigg, Charlotte (Thomas Smith) Rigg, Christopher (Stephanie) Rigg, Kerry (Kevin) Koonce, Amanda (Matt Kelley) Rigg; grandchildren, Megan, Christopher, Courtnie, Nicholas, C.J., Madison, Taylor, Bailey, Ty, Kyle and Blanche; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Markland and Gaytha Spolum. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rolla and Garnett Rigg.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Iowa or Forever Home Dog Rescue in Johnston, IA.
