Roland C. Black, 95, died Saturday, July 3, 2010 at his home in Indianola.  Visitation will be held 5 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola.  Burial of cremains will be in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Roland was born in rural Warren County.  He retired as an over-the-road truck driver working for R.L. McIntyre and Pully Freight Liners in Des Moines. Roland served in the  United States Army during WWII.

Roland is survived by his sisters, Ardis Goldsberry of Runnells and Betty Armstrong of Storm Lake.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Black and son, Gary Black.
