Roberta Lois Fry, 78, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at home surrounded by her family.  Her wish was to be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the American Legion Post # 165 in Indianola.

She is survived by her husband Lon Fry; children, Mike (Debbie) Fry, Tammy (Mike) Thuney, Londa (Chris) Hodson and Lorrie Fry; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Mona Schiltz, Edna (Terry) Wilson and Fred (Sue) Brown; sisters-in-Law, Linda (Dennis) Schrader and Diana Pfaff; brother-in-law, Neal (Connie) Fry; several nieces and nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lorraine Brown; parents-in-law, Willis and Vadis Fry; daughter, Julie Hart; and brothers-in-law, Frank Wilson and Gary Schiltz.

Roberta loved to cook, garden and decorate her home for every season. She treasured her special neighbors and all her friends. She took great joy in picking out the perfect birthday card for each special person in her life. She also enjoyed everything about the Iowa State Fair, and Moolates from Dairy Queen. You could often hear her say "I tell it like I see it."

The family requests those that wish to honor her life donate to the family or a charity of your choice.
