A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held on Friday, May 1, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church, Hospitality Room in Indianola from 5 to 8 p.m. Bob, 79, passed away at home in Benson, AZ on Monday, March 9. Bob was born on Christmas Day at home on a farm north of Indianola in 1935 to parents Clarence and Faith (Duncan) Ruble. He graduated from Indianola High School in 1953 and attended Simpson College. He served in the United States Army from 1955 to 1957. In 1959, he was married to Betty Huffman of Indianola. To this union were born two sons: Kent (Kelly) Ruble of Youngstown, OH and Scott (Mary) Ruble of California, MD. In 1985, Bob was united in marriage to Georgia Crown. In addition to his wife and sons, he is survived by brothers, Gary (Dixie) Ruble and Leland (Cheryl) Ruble of Indianola; grandchildren, Lisa, Robert, Claire, and Margaret; step-daughter-in-law, Ann Roney of Virginia; step-grandchildren, Angela, Ashley, Michael, Christina, Caterina, and Jessica; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Bob and Georgia retired to Arizona after living several years in Ohio and Virginia. He is preceded in death by his parents, Faith and Clarence Ruble and two step-sons, David and Michael.
